Wetherby winner

Julie leads Adam & Sakhee’s City back into the winners enclosure – Thankyou to Alan Wright of Official Photographers, I have ordered the photo!

Adam was ice cool  yesterday as he waited until the very last moment to ask SAKHEE’S CITY to go on and win his race at Wetherby… it was shades of Harchibald & Paul Carberry and we’d like to think he is up for ride of the month for such a well judged effort. Knowing the horse was crucial – Sakhee’s possesses tons of ability but hasn’t always been the easiest to win with – he’s not un genuine but needs producing at just the right moment and this is exactly what we saw yesterday for a cheeky win without tiring him too much in the heavy ground.

Jayne & Keith his Owners were delighted, they bought him as a 2 year old and this is his 4th win and 20 times into the winners enclosure ( 1st – 4th places) from 31 visits to the racecourse, not a bad record! Julie posted this photo of him after the race – it was a good win for our team for whom many have known this horse for years, we get really attached to them.

Julie & Sam

Of our other runners yesterday, Zig Zag finished mid field and still needs to drop a bit to be competitive, you pay for your past wins in this game….Cable Bay & Gold Venture were not placed at Wolves. All horse back safely. No runners today…. and believe it or not it’s going to rain all day again at East Appleton 😮

Wet wet wet 🙈
