Lady Chloe’s Doyen filly who arrived back with us this morning

We love getting the foals back but there will be just the 3 this year – this lovely Doyen filly plus Skid’s filly and Marmot Bay’s colt to come back yet. Chloe, Helen Wood and Pickworth are all  scanned in foal though and the 3 Mares arrived this morning from Ireland.

The Doyen filly out of Lady Chloe

This filly is very much like her dam but a bit less white – we have 2 of Chloe’s boys already in training ( Rococco and an Authorized 2 year old) and a cracking good Presenting yearling filly in the field. They all look like proper racehorses and Rococco will be the first to run. It’s nice to have the whole family and Lady Chloe was a mare with loads of talent and very straightforward.

Rococco – 25% for sale – unraced 3 year old and pleasing us all with his attitude.

Lady Chloe’s Presenting filly last year

Looking ahead to tonight we have 3 at Wetherby – all with chances, The Resdev Way being the shortest in the betting of our trio. Fingal’s Cave runs in the 7.40 and he would be nicely weighted now on the pick of his form from last year but there’s a chance he might need a bit of rain to be at his very best and he’s got a tricky draw.

Fingal’s Cave & Jenni, his regular pilot. She’ll be watching from on holiday no doubt, this is her favourite horse!

Both Resdev and Ice Galley lock horns again in the 8.40 – 2 miles round this big galloping track, it should suit Ice Galley much more than Catterick. Resdev will be switched off and come with a run, he’s more than capable of landing this prize  if he stays –  the best of luck to all our Owners at Wetherby this evening.
