Buttons oozes class!

Buttons with her Owner Jayne in the winners Enclosure at Newcastle

Smiles all round at Newcastle yesterday as Lady Buttons won a Class 2 Novice  chase in effortless style, the Racing Post summing it up perfectly –

It’s not everyday you win races in a ‘canter’ and she is a hugely exciting mare who looks to be even better over fences than hurdles. Adam gave her a lovely ride, sitting quietly until 2 out when she pulled him into the lead and then striding clear with her ears pricked – it was lovely to see. A video will be posted shortly.

Into the winners….

We are so proud of this wonderful mare, and like the true professional she is she was straight into her dinner bowl when she arrived back at Green Oaks last night.

It is worth remembering we have just the ONE share remaining to buy  in her Robin Des Champs half brother – he is now 3 years old and looks a lot like his sister but he is a real ‘monster’ at about 17hh and still growing – every inch a chaser of the future. We are very excited about him ( gets broken in this Spring) and his year younger Presenting brother, the last of the Lady Chapp line as we sadly lost the mare.

Stablemate Sakhee’s City was staying on all the way to the line yesterday for 4th in a good race, he was strides off getting up for 3rd and this was an improved run from Carlisle which he didn’t take to.
