Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Thurs 22 Feb…

We have had a great response for our new horse ‘New Britain’ and all his shares have now been taken. We think he will be a real fun horse and look forward to all his new owners having some great days out over the coming spring/summer with him.

New Britain

Todays runners…

Rock Of Leon nearside with Wemyss Point

At Sedgefield we have Nicely Indeed and Rock of Leon both in the first race, the 2m3 hurdle. The Rock is returning to Sedgefield where he ran very well for 2nd under Nathan Moscrop back at the end of Jan and he rides him again today. He is a little temperamental at times, but if he is willing he does possess plenty of ability. Good luck to him and owners Surefire Racing.

Nicely Indeed

Nicely Indeed needs to be held up as he never seems to jump his best out in front – where he unfortunately ended up early on last time out. Lining up in the 5 runner field is Danceintothelight – an established front runner, so hopefully the race will be ran to suit. He remains in good form at home and we wish him the best of luck today for owners ownaracehorse, ridden by Adam Nicol.

Good Time Ahead

Later at the other end of the afternoon we have Good Time Ahead in the last at Southwell AW, the 1m6 stayers h’cap ridden by Kevin Stott for owners Alan Fairhurst, John Greenbank and Colin Fletcher. He won here convincingly over this trip back in December but obviously now has his up in class to contend with following his 2 wins and consistent good efforts. Good luck to all our runners, riders and owners – come home safe.

Photo’s from today…

Janey has come back fighting this morning following her fall at Wetherby and Katie said she pulled enthusiastically up the gallop – great to see her feeling good.

Aniknam – ridden in his hood at home to settle his eagerness a little.
