Saturday news…

Two meetings again today with Shine Baby Shine having her first go over hurdles at Newcastle and then at Doncaster we have Bertie Blake third time out in novice company, followed by Top Ville Ben .

Shine Baby Shine has been schooling very well at home but this is a fairly hot looking juvenile today at Newcastle. We want to see a solid round of jumping from her under Tommy Dowson to gain confidence and experience first and foremost, with the possibility of picking up some place prize money not out of the question for this mare and her partnership, headed by David Gray.

Bertie & Issey

Bertie Blake is facing his third novice today at Doncaster, a track which we hope will suit him well. There are two top unbeaten horses in the race which will no doubt be dominant, but we are looking for more progression from Bertie with another round of good jumping and a competent run in this small field of only 8. Nathan Moscrop rides him again after getting on with him well last time out for The Kirby Club P’ship.

Top Ville Ben

Top Ville Ben is our third runner of the day, also at Doncaster. This horse holds plenty of talent, but its key to get him settled and happy in his races, getting his most favoured position out in front, which can sometimes be easier said than done – everybody wants the race ran to suit theirs! It looks a race well within his reach if all goes well for him, in the hands of Adam Nicol today for owners The Harbour Rose P’ship.

Good luck to all, come home safe!
