Hangard makes a winning debut!

We couldn’t have been happier with the performance of 5 year old ‘Hangard’ today  – winning what is being talked up as a decent bumper at Ayr, and winning readily too by 5 lengths with his head down and not stopping. Tommy gave him a positive ride and it really paid off, getting first run on everyone and they were always playing ‘catch up’. Pete who regularly rides him at home has always said he feels as though he has a proper engine, and he wasn’t wrong – and in the first time out orangle, turqouise and white ‘Pinnacleplus’ silks, Hangard signalled that he is a young horse to keep on the right side of. Even more exciting he has schooled extremely well,  but judging by this performance he may well try for a bumper double as he is well built to carry a penalty. Below is a  video of the last 5 furlongs~ he really is the eyecatcher in every part of this race and we love the way he runs straight as a die and lowers his head, powering clear and running through the line – Tommy could hardly pull him up!

We must also mention ‘Nicely Indeed’ at Ayr who ran a stormer to finish 2nd again  but he went down fighting to a highly regarded rival – and Mr Carbonator, a close 3rd in a competitive nursery handicap at Redcar. Its been another top day for Team PKR 🏇🏻🏇🏻🏇🏻
