News Saturday 16th Sept…

Today at Chester…

FINGAL (3)

We have Fingal’s Cave running at Chester in the 3:15 7f h’cap for his owners RedHotGarDogs . On the plus side it is a drop in class and the ground wont be an issue for Fingal who remains to feel in good form at home, but yet again we are up against a bad draw. Callum Rodriguez rides claiming 5. Good luck to him and all his owners, and as always – come home safe.

Yesterdays runners…

Lady Buttons and Top Ville Ben are back safe and sound after their run at Salisbury yesterday. Buttons needed the good blow, as we expected and up against stiff competition faded in the closing stages, but it will have served her well and she will have come on for the run in prep for returning to hurdles. Top Ville put in a tremendous effort to finish 4th by 6 lengths after setting an enthusiastic 20 length lead for the first half of the race. He maybe needs to curb his enthusiasm a little, but we were very happy with him and look forward to his NH season with us.

Our lovely Stenna formally known as Transient Bay has been for a wind operation and is now back with us getting lots of tlc. He is a huge horse and with age his wind has become a bit of an issue, but with his op done hopefully it will give him the added extra to help him get back in the winners spot again this season for his Waking Ned Partnership. He is a yard fav and we all look forward to seeing him back out on the gallops after his 5 wks walker work.
