Fingal’s Cave enjoying a day in the paddock

We saw a storming effort from Fingal’s Cave at York yesterday for a length & 3/4 second under Danny Tudhope for his Owners the Redhotgardogs. A win would have been great but this was still another career high from Fingal who relished the give in the ground and was running here off a flat mark of 91. He may head next to the Shergar Cup at Ascot in a couple of weeks, and he already has a big win under his belt at Catterick this season, what a good horse he has turned out to be for us and plenty more to come if he stays in such good form.

Today it was the turn of Bohenagore at Uttoxeter and he settled well and jumped great for Adam, just tiring to 5th after making the running to 3 out. He had been running a bit free in his races so this was a pleasing debut for us and he is back safe and sound now at Green Oaks.

While the yard has been busy as usual I have been at a very wet and muddy Hickstead competing at The Royal International Horse Show near Brighton with our daughters Izzy and Indy who were excited to have qualified and ride at one of the countries premier shows. Spotted by the ring taking in the busy atmosphere was former Top Trainer and friend of ours, Jerry Glover, who bought Keep Up from us for daughter and show producer, Lucy Glover, to show. Both Jerry and Keep Up looked in top form.
