York & Hexham

The two meetings couldn’t be more contrasting – dyed in the wool ‘National Hunt’ fare at Hexham to the glamour of a York Saturday….we are enjoying both sides of the racing coin this afternoon!

Future chaser, War Joey

War Joey makes a start over hurdles in the novice, and he has schooled well but this big, staying horse won’t be seen to his best advantage until he faces a fence in another years time. its tough to be competitive in these novices…

And so to Fingal’s Cave who deserves to take his chance in this high class handicap at York after a gutsy win at Catterick a week ago. Up 6lb, he would have to put in yet another career high performance to figure, but he is in the form of his life. Good luck to Theredhotgardogs! We have had three photo finish seconds at York – its high time we could celebrate a winner there, but its one of the toughest places to win!
