Shine Baby Shine

The sun is shining and its a beautiful day to have runners at Carlisle and Haydock – Leonard Thomas heads up North and Shine Baby Shine makes her debut tonight at the Lancashire track. The filly will come on plenty for her first experience of racing and she is a really nice prospect for the future, she is well related and will get a trip in time and has the scope for hurdling.

After a quiet previous week we have had a number of runners this week – thankyou to everyone who sent me photos from the paddock – Cavalieri, Good Time Ahead & Harbour Rose featuring below.

Cavalieri & Simon at Ripon

Good Time Ahead yesterday at Haydock

Phil and Julie with debutante, Harbour Rose

Although not in the winners, all three horses ran well, Cavalieri getting going all too late but running on well, as did Good Time Ahead who stayed this extra few furlongs well. Harbour Rose looked big and well in the paddock and travelled well through the race, inexperience on this soft ground just catching her out late on. She will improve next time, it was a decent maiden fillies. Being a half sister to Cheltenham Festival winner, Penhill, we expect her to need further in time!
