Friday’s news

Ice Galley at York yesterday with Julie

Its pouring down at Green Oaks this morning but the sun shone at York yesterday and we had a good days racing despite the result. The steady pace didn’t suit our runner but there will be other days for him, he also has a future over timber and we look forward to the day he runs in his first novice hurdle.

Lily Frank, our University trainee.

The Daily Mail were quick to photograph our University placement student, Lily Frank, who is based at our yard this summer and furthering her knowledge of the racing and bloodstock industry. Many of our Owners have already met Lily, and she is thoroughly enjoying her time here so far. Lily is a former top level pony racing jockey who had ridden at York in the past. She is particularly interested in all aspects of Ownership and the marketing side, and how we can expand this.

Ice Galley in the paddock

No runners today but we have entries at Carlisle and Towcester coming up – this rain is most welcome for Man in Black at Towcester on Monday, and he has remained in good form at home while we have been waiting for the heavens to open. He is pictured here with Stacey aboard.
