It was a horrendous wet freezing day at the yard and it felt like the coldest of the year so far. Horses who are entered this week still had to be ridden out and these included Courtown Oscar as he is in he Eider Chase on Saturday 25th of this month – a big day to look forward to.
Tomorrow its Catterick, a short spin up the road for Arabian Oasis and Northern Girl – and its comeback
time for the former who has had a nice break since his flat and hurdles campaign in 2016. He looks great but is entitled to come on for the run in conditions that are going to be testing after a lot of rain here. Northern Girl ran prettty green on her debut at Wetherby but she has learnt a lot from that and off a light weight we expect her to be
more competitive for The Topspec Partnership & Ownaracehorse. She now has two winning brothers and they are both pretty decent, we hope she can prove a winner in time as well.
Our two jockeys continued in good form today – we didn’t have any runners but both Adam and Tommy had winners at Sedgefield – well done!
Yesterdays runners are all fine but pretty tired as the ground was really was testing, they all had a quiet walk out and kept warm in the barns out of the chill.
