Cleve Cottage bids to win his first of the season at Uttoxeter tomorrow and Phil has reached for first
time blinkers in an effort to revitalise him after some laboured efforts so far. He is better than he has shown recentley and jumps great – its a bit of a puzzler but he should relish this staying test. Adam rides and with both Jockey and Trainer in form we just need the horse to do the job now.
Lady Buttons has been pleasing us since her win at Newcastle and she holds several entries in an attempt to find the best race for her before her new handicap mark comes in to play. Its no secret that we hope she goes on improving and could eventually add some black type to her CV over hurdles to go with that she has in bumpers. Now a 7 year old, she had to have 18 months on the sidelines due to an injury sustained at Market Rasen, but the former spark and high cruising speed is still very much in evidence and Sarah who rides her every day says that there is nothing like her to sit on…she is the sort of mare everyone dreams of owning and now lets hope she can stay sound and show us and her Owners what she is capable of achieving.
