Goffs/ DBS Sales

There were some interesting purchases made today on behalf of Owners plus one for ourselves to sell on in the future.

One of the best value of the day must be lot. 285 bought for The Darling family, a filly by new stallion, Dunaden ( Melbourne Cup winner) out of dual bumper winner, Candello who has already bred 2 winners from 2 runners. This was a beautiful looking and scopey dark brown filly with most unusually, a perfect white heart on her forehead.

Also bought were lots 251 – a Yeats filly by the black type mare, Theleze, a flat and hurdle winner in France, lot 258 – a Kayf Tara filly out of French chasing winning dam, Via Ferrata, lot 205 – a good moving Yeats colt out of Misleain ( Phil trained his half sister Bedale Lane to win a bumper) and lot 171, our purchase of a sizeable  Kayf Tara Filly out of 5x winner Fragarant Rose – a dual bumper & 3 x novice hurdle winner for Henrietta Knight. She has already bred 4 winners from 5 runners including two winning full siblings. She is a very smartly bred filly who will be produced to sell as a future bumper horse. Her full brother Halo Moon has won his last three chases impressively and is rated 127.

Pickworth did not quite reach her reserve today and is back at Green Oaks, the broodmare market is quite up and down but she looked very well and we had thought she was good value. She remains for sale if anyone is looking for a well bred broodmare with two colts already bred and in foal to exciting Coolmore stallion, Fame & Glory.
