Weekend Roundup

Its been a ‘nearly weekend’ with two close seconds, and a number of decent placings – Kiwayu just going down by a head at Redcar ridden Andrew Mullen, he has found his form now and has posted three good efforts in the last couple of weeks, we would like to think he can get another win shortly and hopefully the handicapper will not be too harsh on him. Nautical Nitwit improved on his Spring debut 3rd at

Bold Henmie & Eastview Boy

Bold Henmie & Eastview Boy

Market Rasen with a good second today at Hexham, he is creeping closer to a first win for us  but is another who does himself no favours with the handicapper as he always runs such a good, genuine race. Arabian Oasis got a bit tired for 3rd in the novce after being taken on for the lead early and doing plenty up front, and he beat Eastview Boy into 4th, who should come on for the outing. As usual its been a busy Sunday and when Phil got back in the pouring rain he then went and rolled the jumps field with the tractor!

Helen Wood

Helen Wood

Helen Wood returned from France today, she is a beautiful mare and we can’t wait for her Martaline foal due next March. She is having a night in to avoid the heavy rain and will be out at grass tomorrow. Marmot Bay and Musikhani are back with their stunning foals and once we get a bit of sunshine this week I will be out taking photos and videos.

The Shades of Grey Partnership’s ‘Enlighten Me’ is back in light work after a little hold up, she continues to grow and is looking a nice strong 2 year old filly now.
