City Dreams

City Dreams

What should have been a big day for Brian Toomey having his last ride has turned into an absolute nightmare with City Dreams being brought down through no fault of her or Brians, and sadly breaking a leg. We are so sad to lose the mare as she had a lovely nature and was showing plenty of promise as a hurdler having gone close on the flat over staying trips and loved her schooling. She had been traveling really well here until the incident. It will seem a long way back for Phil with the empty horsebox and its always the worst part of the job when this happens although with horses racing at speed its a risk that is always present.  Our thoughts  go out to her Owner, Brian Dunn. She won’t be forgotten.

We have three runners tomorrow – Discay at Uttoxeter in a conditional jockeys novices seller, Ullswater at Hamilton and Seminole Dream at Ripon. We also have a whole host of entries made so its going to prove a busy ten days ahead.

Some photos from the yard over the past couple of days…

We had Andrew Mullen in to ride out this morning – he can be seen here aboard a nice 2 year old filly by Equiano.

Marcia Sanderson

Marcia Sanderson

Marcia thoroughly enjoyed her race at York aboard Triple Eight, finishing mid field, and having a great spin. He is pictured here with Lauren leading up who won the best turned out award with him – York two days and 2 BTO’s.

Elspeth's Boy

Elspeth’s Boy

We were so pleased to see this photo of our former winner, Elspeth’s Boy in the show hack class, Owner Shirley has done a brilliant job with him and also competes with success in side saddle classes with him. He looks tremendous and loves his new life.

Kings Grey

Kings Grey

Lauren has been doing an excellent job re- schooling 12 year old King’s Grey and he is likely to Shortly  be heading to Clare Poole,  who has another of our ex racers, Word of Warning.  He will be a major contendor in the Racehorse to Show horse classes.
