Lady Chapp with her Presenting foal

Lady Chapp with her Presenting foal last night – we hope to take him with Lady Chapp to the TB foal show at Bangor racecourse in July, possibly with Lady Chloe and her Authorized colt.

pc race rally 036

Its the most glorious morning here at the yard and I have been down the gallop taking photos of the horses in action…we had Andrew Mullen riding out this morning, he rode Mr Chuckles and newly named, Archippos who went well in a piece of strong work, he is not far off his racing debut.

On the way down to exercise…

Tara Time

Tara Time

Could today be any busier after a quiet week? Two at Stratford and three at Wetherby this evening- its second time lucky for ‘Tara Time’ as she set off there last week only for further rain to fall and be made a non runner in the bumper. Its a mares today and it looks a more competitive affair but she will appreciate the good ground and we will be dissapointed if she doesnt give a good

account of herself. She will need to settle early as she can be very keen at home. Adam rides. Nautical Nitwit makes his seasonal debut and will come on for the outing, he is a capable handicapper to enjoy all summer and Autumn.

Wetherbys sees Iftikaar (Andrew Mullen) out again over 1m 1f  after possibly finding the ground a bit fast last time. They are still calling Wetherby good to soft so he should find this more to his liking, he is our first runner of the day at 7.15pm!! Ullswater and Perennial both run in the 8.50, Perennial (Douggie Costello) posseses plenty of ability and we would like to see more of it today – Ullswater (Connor Beasley) is a burly indivdual but trimming up well and he is another we are expecting a better performance from.

Good luck to all our Owners today and lets hope we see Keith and Jayne Sivills purple and white colours in the winners enclosure at one of our local tracks to get us off to a good start.

We have a range of entries this week – Seminole Dream goes to Bath for a plus 10 race on Friday, she has passed her stalls test and hopefully all will go to plan this time. We are triple handed in the 0-80 £12k handicap at Musselburgh on Friday, Phil has entered Pass Muster, Discay and Triple Eight – its a valuable prize and we are suprised there are not more entries. Moshe is in at Potefract and Cartmel, he is looking well at home and ready for his seasonal debut but does like a bit of cut, we will see what the weather does.
