Catterick winner!

We were delighted to celebrate a winner today at our local track, Catterick – one of our first runners there since we moved in to Green Oaks  and its only 4 and a half weeks until the horses move here from Middleham.

Sakhee’s City travelled beautifully for Adam, jumping to the front two out and battling on nicely to win by a length and a quarter. He is seen here gleaming in the sunshine with Phil and his Owners in the winners enclosure, and with Julie leading him up. Photos courtesy of Keith Foster.

‘Sam’ has been with us since a 2 year old and has just never stopped growing! He has the mould of a future chaser and jumps with plenty of scope. He can be seen on this video below taken a few weeks ago, but only uploaded today due to broadband issues.

Phil gave an interview on Racing UK and told the viewers about the new yard which as you can tell we are extremely excited about….. The fibresand surface for the large all-weather arena in front of the house arrives tomorrow, this was the men at work on it levelling it this evening before putting the membrane in place tomorrow morning. Its going to be invaluable for doing flatwork with our older horses as a change,  and riding away the young horses in a safe environment.

Earlier at the yard I took some photos of the horses who were eagerly awaiting their lunch…
