Thursday’s News

imageWe were absolutely delighted with our Monday winner Courtown Oscar who come out of the race well and has now won five of his last 8 and is a lovely young horse. Thanks to Sandy Frew for this great photo.

Cleve Cottage and Moscow Presents also ran good races to be placed and although unplaced in a hot novice at Doncaster yesterday, Eastview Boy ran a blinder on his first start over hurdles, jumping beautifully. Today it is the turn of Improved who will be up against it rather like Eastview Boy in this company but we will be happy if he can finish and jump well, he is one for handicaps for the future.

Next Edition is declared for Wolverhampton tomorrow – it’s a busy week.

We are eagerly awaiting news of the next foals due, Marmot Bay is now about 5 days overdue and Lady Chloe is due at the end of the month.

Green Oaks is changing rapidly every day and the four barns are now up and looking smart, the first set of stables have been going in this week. It’s just 5 weeks away until we move here with the horses and it’s all go. I will be updating every day with new photos. The land is now being  fenced into different paddocks and it’s really coming together. The sand arena is now awaiting the top surface in a few days and is almost complete.
