Monday at Wolverhampton
Good luck to The Dibble Bridge Owners!
Their Next Edition runs at Wolverhampton today in the first, a 1m 5f race for jockeys not to have ridden more than 10 winners, so Ross gets to claim a valuable 10lb. This is also a serious drop in race grade for Eddie, so with these factors to consider we are hoping he can gain his first AW win this afternoon and an overdue first win for Ross who has had lots of places on his rides so far. None of his Owners can make it this afternoon so it would be typical if this is the day he manages to get his head in front, but we don’t think they would mind if he did and there will be plenty watching from home. Simon and Ross set off early this morning, and we hope they are bringing back a winner later on.
We have a number of exciting entries this week including Courtown Oscar at Carlisle and Transient Bay at Uttoxeter, both recent winners we hope can go in again. They both cope well with the soft ground, although the bottomless ground last time at Chepstow was beyond him. Phil has also entered our highly regarded novice, Sakhee’s City who ran such a promising debut at Market Rasen recently.
Its a wet and windy day at Middleham this morning but we are feeling very happy as have just been sent the news that Musikhani has safely foaled a bay colt at Rosyground stud – her first – and that both are doing well. I am looking forward to seeing a photo and will post it on here later.
This is a first look at Andorn’s yearling filly who is now in residence at Dibble Bridge. She is out of the mare, Cayman Sound who has bred multiple flat and hurdle winner, the tough little ‘Norfolk Sky’. We are so pleased to have this filly and hope she can follow in Andorn’s capable footsteps.
