A sunny morning on the gallops, Sakhee’s City in the front warming up

We have just the one runner at Wetherby today – good luck to the Owners of Eastview Boy, their homebred who runs in his final bumper before going hurdling. He has shown some nice ability so far and we are looking for another decent run this afternoon. ‘Willie’ as he is known at home, has already schooled really well.

We had quite a busy schooling session on Thursday with John Dawson up to ride King’s Grey, although Phil decided not to declare him for Wetherby with heavy rain forecast all day . All the horses jumped well wether hurdles or fences, and Transient Bay had his first go over the larger obstacles.
