Ayr Winner and Happy Birthday

Its Happy Birthday to Megan Dent today – Megan has recently revolutionised the website and keeps her posts regularly updated. She also bakes wonderful cakes for everyone on the yard and manages to train for £10k runs at the same time as fitting school work in. Hope you have had a relaxing time today Meg! Keep up the great work.

We’re back to ‘normal’ firing the winners in!! Thers no denying its been a trying 10 months but what a difference now, and everyone on the yard is as keen as ever to keep the winners flowing now, just as they always used to.

Iftikaar doubles up tonight, winning his second race in a week, this time at Ayr, and Phil’s got him back in on Monday as well, he would have a double penalty, so we will see how he is after these two quick runs, but he found this easy tonight and we’d love to think he could score three on the bounce. He doesn’t want it too quick though, so we’ll keep one eye on the weather. He will be out in the paddock in the morning and stretching his legs after the long journey back tonight.

Next Edition is also declared for Monday, he is heading up to Ayr for the Dibble Bridge Partnership for a 0-90 over 1m 2f, decent prize money on offer and only an 8 runner field.

Its getting towards sales time, starting with DBS yearlings soon, then the DBS Horses in Training Sale where we have ‘Improved’ entered – and then the yearling sales start in earnets, we have the Zoffany colt for castleton Bloodstock in Book 2 at Tatts.

‘Improved’ is looking a million dollars and we would LOVE to continue training this family bred horse…potential purchasers please note. Here are some photos of him out in the sunshine earlier today. He is an impressive winner of his only bumper start to date and has a real staying predigree as well. He is also  superb looking individual who moves really well.
