Tuesday 21st April

baby aggiePhil pictured trimming Royalty’s hooves while baby looks on – we were thankful for good news yesterday about his treatment  although there still has to be plenty of continued improvement to come.  This little colt is a real fighter and if he ever makes it to the track we are sure he will have plenty of guts. He is being cared for at Lesley and Bob Haw’s yard where he was foaled, and the vets are doing a first rate job with him.

Pickworth and Epicurean are still hanging on!! It was so exciting to see Avidity win again at Ayr – a bumper for us before being sold at DBS, and now three times over hurdles for James Ewart: Epicurean is expecting an Avidity full brother or sister by Pitchall Stud’s ‘Passing Glance’.

Some photos from Friday…..

Courtown Oscar looking amazing with Steve kettlewell

Jessie Pinkman and new staff member, kelly Cochrane

Hugo with ‘Episode’ the half brother to Avidity, Sakhee’s City with Ross behind.

Just waiting now for handicap marks….we are hoping Courtown Oscar is not murdered by the handicapper!

Oscar O’scar is going home for his summers rest today – he has schooled nicely over fences and should make a nice soft ground novice handicap chaser next NH season.

Next Edition resumed ridden work yesterday after his month on the  walker and Phil reported him to look really well. Looking forward to another season on the flat with him this summer.

We will be bringing you news and videos from the DBS breeze Up sales tomorrow, and a full video on Thursday evening after the ‘Arcano’ colt has sold. He travelled there safely yesterday and will be practicing his breeze today.

Factor Fifty has been entered at Sandown in the final race of the NH season – there are lots of entries and he will need plenty to come out to get a run though.
