Tuesday March 31st

The news has been slow this past week but its all back to normal now following our family wedding trip to Ireland. We collected Musikhani (in foal) from Rathasker stud, and enjoyed seeing her husband, the very good looking ‘Fast Company’ who had an excellent first year with runners in 2014. On the way back we received the news that Helen Wood has had a dark brown filly foal – another just in the image of herself, and pleased to say that they are both well. We have yet to see a photo, its hard when they foal away, you just want to go and see them straight away and its too far! Royalty looks the next one to be foaling, any day now – and both Pickworth and Epicurean have now moved up the road to Lesley and Bob Haw’s to their foaling boxes with cameras.

While we were away we had Hail the Brave running with Rumble of Thunder, Rumble ran a very pleasing comeback for a close up third on the AW, but HTB was  disappointing, although nothing has come to light yet. He has run like this before at Hexham, and shown winning form since, we wish horses could talk sometimes. Cathedral bids to get back on track today with a run over 1m 6f at Southwell and his action should suit the surface. No further entries until Haydock when we have Lady Buttons and Aniknam entered in the 2m4f novices handicap hurdle. Its quite a wet forecast so it could really suit Aniknam, and if its too wet there is an alternative for Lady Buttons at Market Rasen.

I will be emailing all Partnership Owners today  so please look in your inboxes later this evening.
