Photo by PHILL ANDREWS  – Our stylish new 10lb conditional jockey, Hugo Thompson-Brown riding Eastview Thoroughbred’s Iktibas gelding.

Just the one runner at Catterick today and Phil was pleased with how Bruce Almighty jumped on debut. He wasn’t placed but will have learnt a lot today and we expect to see improvement next time as he learns his job.

Handicap day saw Stopped Out up to 135 over fences, Indalo  Returns get a pleasant 7lb drop, and Lady Buttons 2lbs. Chloe’s Image was dropped to 50 on the flat and she will be running again on the AW shortly.

For Sale: the Flemensfirth 3 year old we bought at Tatts IRE heads to  the DBS May Sales and Phil expects her to make strong money. However, we will sell her prior to stay on our yard , current price £10k and is she is an exceptionally good sort with a lovely temperament. She can be seen at our Castleton yard.

Mare News:

Epicuream is looking well – she is due to passing Glance on April 10th.

And Royalty is as big as ever…she is due to ANDORN on 1st April for Owners Preesall Garage

Royalty looking huge – 6 weeks to go!

Due next are Lady Chloe and Marmot Bay – both mares having their first foals and due 5 days ago –  they can go 2-3 weeks over with no problem.

Can’t Believe It – Is fine after returning home from the races and if all continues okay will be out again in the next 3 weeks.

Factor Fifty – is in strong canter work now and a late March run is right on target.

Next Edition – still on rest but doing well and legs feel good.

Enlighten Me – very cheeky! She bit me last week. Photos below, she is starting to lose her winter coat and looking like a proper yearling now rather than a foal.
