It was a beautiful morning up at Middleham yesterday and I took a short video of second lot  – watch below – it does seem to run on all to all my videos so just click stop once watched!

Weather has put paid to our racing the last two days – even Enzaal at Southwell which is quite amazing, we didn’t expect the AW to be off. We were dissapointed not to run all three of our fancied horses, him and the hurdlers Aniknam and Lady Buttons as Phil was happy he had found the right races for them. The next opportunity for Lady Buttons may be Newcastle as she holds an entry there but she won’t run on desperate ground and it’s currently heavy. Also entered up is star performer Stopped Out who Phil is really pleased with, he heads to Ayr on the 2nd, weather permitting. James Reveley has ridden him the last twice and he is up to ride out for us this morning.

Phil’s dog, Sukey enjoyed a morning on the gallops too!

Our Catterick runners both finished midfield on their novice hurdles on Saturday, Danehill Flyer pulling hard out in front before getting tired and Cavalieri doing the opposite, not  travelling early but finishing well. Job done for both of them and they  need to learn the job over hurdles and get a mark to contest novice handicaps. Megan Dent, daughter of our Secretary, Anna, enjoyed leading Cavalieri up and she sent me these photos.
