Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Thursday 11th

Yesterday’s runners are fine after Hexham, although bound to be tired after running in those extreme conditions. No runners today but James Reveley was up schooling this morning and all went well. Phil also schooled the new Partnership horse ‘Can’t Believe It’ who will have another follow up schooling session tomorrow which I will be filming – one of his Owners is coming to watch. Owners in the PKR P’ship look our for your video tomorrow evening.

Istimraar runs tomorrow at Wolverhampton and he is second in the betting of the 7 runner race. He’s in good form at home and should run a decent race, he has been consistent of late for us – good luck to his owners, the Grech family and hoping for another winner, we really want to get to 100 before New Years Eve – it looks a possible with some nice runners to come in the next fortnight.

Helen Wood our broodmare is back home from the vets and all seems well now. foal still another 3.5 months to go. I will be updating our mares and foals page with all the impending foaling dates and news as soon as i have it – plenty to look forward  with Lady Chapp first on the list , due on Valentines Day! She will foal at Rathbarry stud where she is due to visit either Presenting or Robin des Champs again, we will see what the foal is like before deciding, hopefully a great strapping dark bay colt! Although a heathy foal of any sex/colour is first and foremost after  losing her Shirocco colt 5 weeks early last year.
