This says it all! There was a hairs breath in it at the line ( if you can see one?)  but it went our way and the mare really deserved her win, we are so pleased for her owners and this now makes her a good future breeding prospect – a bumper and hurdle winner, and hopefully more to come as she is very tough and game.

Goldan Jess absolutely tried his heart out in the big race at Cartmel – but had to give best for 2nd to the well handicapped ‘Teak’ of Ian Williams’, a recent flat winner at Goodwood. Kyle gave him his usual brave ride and he wasn’t stopping all the way to the line – i dont think we could have been more proud of him if he had won the race. he was very tired afterwards but deservedly so.

Istimraar finished his race going forward for 4th in the juvenile hurdle and this should give him some confidence for his next start, hopefully he will be given a sensible  handicap mark as he has been well tried in his three starts to date.

Iftikaar was hampered in the final furlong at Ripon, he had been prominent throughout the race but was not beaten too far at the end – he could do with his mark being re-assessed to give him a chance to run well in handicaps, he came with quite a high mark from France when bought at the DBS sales.
