Thursday’s News

Written from the Stenna Ferry at Dublin port….ready to set off home. Aniknam is fine after his run yesterday, and although we weren’t in the shake up he did stay on well, beat four decent ones, two of them Listed Bumper winners and one fourth at Cheltenham. The race was red hot and given that our horse wanted soft ground to be seen at his best, he stuck to his task well up the home straight. He is just a 4 year old and is going to make a really nice novice for next year, he has tons of ability.

Today we have Triple Eight declared at Sedgefield for Owners, The Redhotgardogs. Adam Nicol rides this winning flat horse and we hope he can transfer some if his ability to jumps now he is a bit older and stronger to stay out the 2 mile trip. Touch wood his jumping has been good so far in novices and  he goes there with a sound chance.  its back to the flat tomorrow with our recent Catterick winner, Cavalieri attempting to double up at Musselburgh. He has run well in the past at Kempton so the right handed track should be no problem for him. Our other runner up there is the fantastic Just Paul, he ran a great race last time in a valuable handicap and as we know he loves  the track with two good wins here last year,  so he must have a good chance .

further update later.
