Foal Arrival

Very pleased to announce the arrival of a filly foal named ‘Ruby’ to  our elite broodmare ‘Helen Wood’ in the early hours of yesterday morning. Foaled by Lesley and Bob Haw  (our former head girl at Castleton) at their Liverton yard.  Both are doing well and I will be bringing you photos tomorrow evening. Pickworth has also now joined them and she will be the next due in the middle of March.

Breeding plans confirmed for 2014 :

Helen Wood to visit Malinas or Sulamaani

Lady Chapp visits Robin des Champs (sire of Quevuega)

Lady Chloe visits Shirocco (Sire of Annie Power)

Royalty visits Passing Glance (sire of our impressive 2013 bumper winner, Avidity and top class flat horse, Side Glance)

Hula Ballew visits Shirocco (she has been sold to local owner, Clive Wood), due Equianao foal to be retained by us.

Pickworth – still to be confirmed

Our next runner may be Pass Muster at Musselburgh providing the ground does not deteriorate further.  he ran the race of his life last time at kempton and is in fine form at home, Adam Nicol is jocked up and Julie, who rides him every day at home will be taking him. The next day we have Iktiview in at Catterick over 3 miles.

Meet Rosie du Berlais owned by Geoff and Susan Frank – she will be entered shortly and is a point winner  who has plenty of size and scope to go chasing under rules.
