Sunday (video)

A damp Sunday morning but hopefully you will all enjoy watching this video of 2nd lot last week – I will be uploading some more the next few days, keep looking in!

imageSimon lunging the  3 year old ‘Coroner’ gelding  who has just been sat on for the first time yesterday – Nicole had the unenviable job of getting on him but by all accounts he was very good!

smokey reschool I really enjoyed riding ‘Word of Warning’ (Smokey) today in an Indoor School – its been so wet! he is taking to re-schooling so well and is an absolute natural. The real test will come when he goes to a show, he has been to the races 92 times so it will be pretty much set in his head that he is going to the races! It always takes a long time for ex-racers to settle to another job and he has been doing it for a long time but the signs so far are very positive and he seems to enjoy the steadier life. Watch his video:

Lady Heidi has filled out nicely over the winter, we are going to miss her here at Dibble Bridge but tomorrow she heads back to Sharp hill, although proper work wont begin for another month. The fields are drier and she is going to do some regular light walker exercise.  She is pictured here with Rachael and she is in great order ready for her 2014 road to glory – can it be Classic glory!? She holds an entry in the Irish Oaks.

Phil is pleased with the youngsters we have at Sharp Hill and our 2 year olds are all now riding away quietly. Pictured here is the gorgeous looking ELTHEEB leading Esk Valley Lady and the Passing Glance filly.

And this is the Multiplex colt who is very forward and strong, he looks a real early sort and we cant wait to see him cantering.
