Tuesdays News

A work and schooling day at Sharp Hill and i have taken plenty of shots of all four lots in action. It was pretty dark still at 8am when first lot pulled out!!

First up the  gallop were tomorrows runners,Just Cameron, Mrs Eff, Jasper Massini and Picks Milan, they were just having a nice canter ahead of their races at Newcastle, and due to a shortage of northern 2m4f

handicap hurdles in this grade, 3 of them are taking each other on. Mrs Eff has been a star last year winning three for us. Phil certainly expects improvement from her first run and there wouldn’t be much between her and novice winner Just Cameron, although at the weights he should be the better handicapped.  Picks Milan

Western Trigger

Western Trigger

is having his first start since last Spring but ran really well first time out last year, winning at Carlisle beating none other than Moscow Presents, who Phil now trains and has won with recently, not bad form at all. Best to draw your own conclusions! Be good to win the race with one of them and all back safely. Our other runner is Jasper Massini, he is also on the comeback trail and a promising run is hoped for..

its been a while since the horse on the left went to the races but Western Trigger is looking well and we hope his problems are now behind him, it has been very much a stop start career for him so far but hopefully he can repay his patient Owners, The Yarm Racing Partnership, in the long term. He is still on restricted exercise but is taking it well and always looks cheerful!!

first lot contained some of our bumper and young horses and they can be seen here working up then 7f. Phil was pleased with Les and Viv Waugh’s unraced homebred filly ( pale chestnut in front) and it wont be long before she makes her bumper debut.
