Sundays News – updated
I have updated the winners page this evening – all our 60 winners so far in 2013 are now in order with date, name, meeting, jockey and price. I am currently creating our full colour A3 winners Album for 2013 – hopefully plenty to add to it before the end of the year ! – 65/70 has to be the target now.
If anyone would like to view our 2102 book (when training at Castleton) please click the link and it looks better if you click FULL SCREEN once it is open. It does not cost to look!
No winner today at Carlisle but Moscow Presents finished sound in 5th for Owners Bortech & Sadler and Philip Dennis gave him a good ride.
Keith Foster took this great shot of the horses on the gallop last week – Ancient Times and Julie Heneghan up front, followed by Factor Fifty, Hail the Brave and Lowcarr Motion.
The weather continues to be kind and Phil has set off to Middleham to ride a few horses out before heading off to Carlisle with our runner in the last, Moscow Presents for Bortech & Sadler. Moscow has had one run for us so far at Towcester and that should have blown away the cobwebs for today – amateur jockey Philip Dennis rides and Phil rates this young jockey highly – he also rides Full Speed tomorrow at Wolverhampton.
We were thrilled to get win number 60 up for the year with ‘Pass Muster’ on Friday – Tuesday will see what the handicapper does with him, and Phil has made a couple of precautionary entries for next Friday just in case. He really is the most beautiful horse and thoroughly enjoyed his trip to the races after a long break and some niggly problems which he is clearly now over. Adam Nicol gave him a good ride, and it was another winner round Musselburgh in Keith and Jayne Sivills purple and white silks.
No other winners on Friday although Call it On ran well for a long way and Kyle was pleased with him, he will be out again over the Christmas period and hopefully the handicapper will give him a bit of respite for his next start. The lovely grey Word of Warning has run his last race and has been honourably retired by his Owners, the 12 go Racing Partnership – and has thankfully retired sound and ready to do another job.
Grange Park Racing can look forward to their dual 2013 winner, Embsay Crag out again tomorrow at Wolverhampton – he is ridden again by top jockey Graham lee who won on him at Newcastle, and this would be a first AW win for the gelding if he takes to the surface – lets hope so. The kickback there is proving to be a bit of a problem but hopefully they will be able to rectify the situation soon as its not what it used to be and Embsay is a hold up horse.
