Just Paul makes it win No. 5

What a performance from the 3 year old Just Paul today, he has now passed the post in front FIVE times this season and just continues to improve.  Another lovely ride from Declan Cannon who has ridden him to each of his victories and nice to get in front of the boys in blue from Newmarket!!! well done to his Owners Paul and Jean Chapman, who have had a great day up in Scotland.

Phil and  I managed to watch it in our local betting shop in Guisborough, it was a rare Sunday off for Phil and a re charging of batteries before a busy week ahead.

Later we went to look at some lovely young horses, a very nice 3 year old filly by Beat Hollow and a  winning mare by Sakhee, both for sale. It wasn’t a complete Sunday off!

Saturdays runners- a pleasing performance from Stopped Out who just got a bit tired in the closing stages at Ripon,  Russ who rode him was happy with the run.

Elspeths Boy proved a good each way price when a close 3rd at Wolverhampton  yesterday evening,  he may step back up in trip for his next start, but this was a good comeback after some niggly problems.

Monkey Milan suffered a setback when pulling up lame at Market Rasen, this was most unfortunate but hopefully Monkey can be back as he is such a talented individual, how disappointing for all concerned.

Tomorrow its Jawaab up at Hamilton, he has been getting a bit closer on his previous starts and he is still showing enthusiasm for the job at home so he is not ready for his pipe and slippers yet!

Yesterday we took some videos of two geldings we are looking for homes for, two good looking horses who have a lot to offer as competition prospects, please get in touch for further details… The bay is for loan, the chestnut for sensible price sale to an experienced rider. Photos below.

Tuesday is Sedgefield and Ayr, and on the flat  it’s the first appearance of Worth a Kings for the Philip Kirby Racing Partnership.  He will also be appearing over hurdles soon.  He is pictured here with Amateur jockey Philip Dennis who is having his first ride for us on newcomer Lucky Sun at Sedgefield on Tuesday in the amateur and conditional hurdle.
