Three handed today – Triple Eight and Woodpole Acadamey and Uttoxeter and Oscar O’scar at Wetherby.

It’s Henry Brooke’s Birthday  and we are sure his best present would be a win for Woodpole today in the novice chase but its ULTRA competitive with some really classy hurdlers in it. We would be content with a  good round of jumping and the spark that he showed in his early novice hurdles days. He has really schooled well and its an exciting day. Triple Eight has been disappointing of late so we are hoping he  is back to form this afternoon, he is becoming well handicapped under both codes if putting it all together. Kyle rides Triple.  Oscar O’scar is favourite up at Wetherby  (Adam Nicol claiming 5 – and about to lose it to 3lbs).Its not a great race but all ours are coming on a bit for their first run, he is straight enough but its a long season and there will be more to come whatever happens this afternoon – Oscar hasn’t ran for over 400 days but looks in top shape as you can see, pictured below with James riding.

dog show, middleham and bumper horses 038We also have runners at Wetherby and Ayr tomorrow – a full update with some schooling videos will be posted later tonight, lets hope we can write about a winner.

The PHILIP KIRBY RACING PARTNERSHIP launches tomorrow, £1500 for a year, all in – please email for details.
